I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.... =)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! Already this morning has been a lovely Christmas. I received new black ankle boots, a new camera!, scarf, CATCH PHRASE (ANDI), and other little gifts ;) Ben got an i-pod touch, abby, an ipod nano, and sam got lots of little things.... it's a wonderful christmas morning annnnddd IT'S SNOWING! Ahhhh....this is the kind of Christmases they have in movies...

The only problem is, i did not get anyy sleep last night. Because I went to bed around 10, and I played solitaire on my ipod until around 11 b/c i was trying to make myself tired.. thennn... i layed in bed for about an hour with still no sleep.....so, i tried reading, praying, even counting sheep but nothing worked! So, I pulled out the computer and finished this movie, Sweet Home Alabama, that I had been watching on Netflix. (Btw, it's an excellent movie and I would recommend it to anyone... if you love ah-dorable chick flicks, than you'll love this movie) After I finished the movie it was around 1 so I tried to fall asleep again......with no luck..... Long story short I tried sleeping on the ground, watching yet another movie, Notting Hill (AMAZING!) and could not fall asleep! By now it was 5:30 and I was still awake with probably an hour of sleep under my belt.... I finally fell asleep then and abby woke me up around 8 to open presents...

of christmas day is sure to be amazing as I'm going to my grandmother's house for dinner with my cousins and it's sure to be a wonderful time.

A little something to put you in the mood...

So the title for today's post has two meanings:

1. So today at lunch i was talking to andi about an amazing musician, Glenn Miller. One of his more famous compositions is called in the mood so I'd like to dedicate this section of the post to him.

2. and also, there's something else to get in the mood for- christmas! christmas is a week away and i'm super excited! it's the first night of winter break and I'm loving this break already. packed with family, friends, shopping, gift giving, food, hugs, kisses, parties, and more food; it's sure to be an amazing break!

Yes, I know, it's been a WHILE! but that's not the point.... the point is IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! and I looovvveeee christmas, winter break in general, and especially NEW YEAR'S EVE! (andi)

Speaking of this lovely season, tomorrow's the Holiday Assembly and I'm psyched! This assembly is full of corny jokes, lovely music, and being squished next to your best pals up in the rickety bleachers. I love how the whole school comes together, though. It makes this season feel even more special.

Also, one more thing (ANDI!) does anyone have any suggestions of what to get Matt D. for a secret santa gift? our advisory is doing that this year and i need ideas. the only thing I can think of is an itunes gift card, but idk so comment with suggestions por favor!

This Weekend

Hello All!

Have not posted in lets see...FOREVA! well, now i am! this weekend was fab! saturday we went to the renaissance festival---so fun! we saw plenty of shows, ate some mac n cheese on a stick and i bought a "flower ringlet" (ANDI SHOUTOUT!) i lovvee that thing...it makes me feel like a princess! seriously considering being a princess for halloween and ditching andi...jk.. i would nvr do that... =) maybe next year? anyway, speaking of halloween I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! after my mom finishes my dad's willy wonka costume (which she has been working on NONSTOP btw) she'll start andi and i's! coolness!

today we were supposed to go apple picking at larriland farm but guess wat, we get there and we found out that their apples were OUT PICKED! they had run out of apples!!!!!!!!!!! :O they had a small crop, and a LOT of customers...WOW! so we went through this maze, ate some kettle corn, and bought apples they were selling from a different local orchard instead... still good but not as good as larriland.... =( ah well, again there's always next year!

i watched the wiz Saturday night......i'd give it a 7. the ending's kind of long but there are some good songs def... so nervous for auditions! i have a monologue and i'm choosing btween two songs:

IT'S A GOOD DAY! =)

today was a good day... not the best, but good. missed tap though! (i know JENN didn't....) in vball today, ALL MY SERVES IN QUEEN OF THE COURT WERE IN! and, i didn't screw up!!!!! YAY! i'm really glad i stuck w/ vball, bc if i hadn't, i would still be where i was at the beginning of the season instead of where i am today... snaps for perseverance (Legally Blonde shout out!) anywho, going to the fh game tomorrow!!! today was really funny in history....mr. harley was making all these jokes and i had a good chuckle...physics was also funny....MR.MOHAN ROCKS! well, i've got to get back to math hw...bleh....but tonight, there is campus parents and we r making S'MORES!!!!!!!!!!!! that just makes my day right there....

Just another fish swimming in the sea...

Today I felt partly like one in a million.... sigh... i wish there was something i was REALLY good at... like.. everyone has their thing...riding, fashion, dance, academics, fencing ;) (not volleyball ;), etc..

i mean, i'm an okay dancer, but i love it...

i'm okay (okay, bad) at volleyball, but i love it...

i'm a good big sister, and i love that but that doesn't really count...sigh..

today WAS a good day, though... there were some memorable moments in HG&D, a couple laughs during tap, and a very HALARIOUS surprise visit from, yours truly, the twins... i'm serious...andi, tell ur mom that you guys should make a reality show b/c when you guys were taking those boxes home today i was LAUGHING AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!! really, you guys would make a lot of $ and i know u think i'm crazy but i'm serious!!!!! anyway, apart from having funny friends, i'm SO not looking forward to volleyball tomorrow and i know jenn isn't! hehe...but jenn, "whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger!" ;)

Two sides of Life...

In this post, i will be talking about two sides of my life i seem to have....
one is the realistic, down to earth side...the side where my main worries are- date for homecoming? and gosh, i DO NOT wanna go to volleyball today...
the other side is the more philosophical side in which i ponder about things such as-Christianity..is this the route i wanna take? and how did my life end up like THIS!?
so.in this post, i will talk about both with a funny side note... =)

first, the realistic side
i just read a post by my bff about her love life troubles. i feel for you sister and im here as an ear, opinion giver, shoulder WHATEVER! also, as a side note. today in lunch i was walking back to my table with a salad with lettuce, carrots, dressing, etc. on it and i bump into this girl even though i clearly said EXCUSE ME! apparantly, she's bad of hearing.. anyway, i run into her and dressing and lettuce and carrots spill over me, the floor, and still in the bowl. she says a quick sorry and i retreat to my table. as i was walking back i was thinking this...."well, that's one way to toss a salad." hehe :) i think it's important that we have these "inside jokes with ourselves every once in awhile to spice things up, don't you?

anyway, for the philosophical side:
today i had a confirmation class and although on the outside they're really boring and "a waste of me time" there is an aspect to them that is interesting. although, it doesn't come from the textbook or the silly journal they make us write in.. it comes from the discussions about faith and morals that the class gets into on our own. these are the discussions that i enjoy the most and i wish that all conf classes were like this. i also wish tht the pastor @ our parish could look at this side too! sometimes, it seems like all he ever preaches about is the logistics of the faith and not the spirituality of it!!!!!! UGH! sometimes it makes me SO frusterated!!! ah well, life's good and i hope it stays that way.

High School Life

My posts on this website have been irregular since I got a facebook. Now that I'm in High School, i believe they will become even more irregular. See, i barely have time to do hw, eat dinner, play volleyball, sleep, go on fb, chill with my family, text people, and now add post on everythingaboutmoi? doesn't that seem like a little much? so i will post whenever I have the chance. To andi, i will send you an email every time i post so no need to worry.

High School life is good....i go to a private hs in maryland. It's great! Lovin it! there were 43 new kids added in to my grade this year and there are still people i haven't met yet...WOW! i'm loving having more freedom and i do NOT miss middle school....

Side Note: right now i'm listening to grease lightning.....good times..... =D

For future notice...if i ever need to talk about....ahem...."guy friends from new year's eve party" specifically....."the cute one" i will refer to them as out of schoolies and more specifically... the one (andi, you know who ;) anyway........life is good and i hope its the same for the rest of you....

There's just something about summer...

This is an expressive post...by me =)

There's a few things i love about summer. To state the obvious, I love the no HW (pardoning the physics students), the warmness, and the sleeping in. However, these are not the only reasons I love summer. I love being free to do whatever I want whenever I please. Wanna go on a walk with my dog? Sure! Because I'm not tied up! Feel like running in the sprinkler and then jumping on the trampoline? No problem! I've got nothing better to do! That's what I love about summer! That doesn't happen in winter, spring, or fall--No! Only summer. You may say your reasons why your favorite season is another, but nothing compares to summer. Yes, spring has the nicest weather, and yes, fall is beautiful, and yes, winter has snow but still! I just think there's definitely something extra special about, you guessed it,
Summer.

had a great ending, the finale and i really enjoyed it!! very dramaaa packed...

SORRY IT'S BEEN SO LONG!!!

I'm sorry that it's been so long since I've posted. Life has been pretty busy. First of all, I am in the play "The Mouse that Roared" this weekend and we have been in the midst of tech week. I play the part of WAC Jill and no, that does not mean I'm crazy... I'm just in the Women Army Corps. The play has been a blast, but unfortunately, it leaves little time to write on my blog. Brian has been out of school for a while so there is nothing to post about him.

To my dedicated reader(s) (if there's more than one...) I thank you for keeping up with my blog and I suggest that you keep commenting and check back here once or twice a week as my life is getting more busy. That's about how often I will probably be posting if not more often.

I'd like to step away from the hubbub of my normal life and talk about Andi. (My most dedicated reader and probably one of the only ones!)
Andi and I have been BFFs since when i was in pre-first and she was in kindergarten. we've ridden the same bus, have been in the same plays, been in the same classes, and much more. Andi is my go-to-talk-to-spill-to-friend that i could not live without. she has heard probably all of my stories more than once, has heard probably all of my problems and i've probably heard all of hers.

This Weekend was AWESOME!

Ok, so this weekend was pretty good. on friday i had play practice, and then my bffs (andi and christy) came ovr 4 a sleepover! we had a lot of fun dancing in the kitchen, watching flaustin austin( hehehehehe) just hanging out. saturday morning I babysat the Adams'. that was fun b/c they're just so darn cute! Saturday night our family friends came over for dinner including my bff erin! erin has a japanese exchange student (Sakura) staying @ her house which is pretty cool. she likes the US and she told us all about Japan so that was cool! today i had CCD and A LONG play practice (1-5) it was quite tiring... i then came home, ate dinner, and did hw. so, that was my weekend.

1st Day Back! I'm BTS!

So, today was the first day BTS after spring break. I did NOT wanna wake up this morning.....What really woke me up was that my BFF brought in brownies 4 our advisory!!!<3<3. Life is good.
also, in Spanish, my teacher said that she was going to recommend me for Honor's Spanish. I haven't thought about upper school/ classes next year that much... so her telling me that was a BIG wake up call! I'm thinking maybe honor's English, but we'll see. Anyway, 2day was my first day with a different science teacher. He was cool. Enough said. There is something you should know. Brian is a pretty popular kid in my school. I'm not really popular at all. I'm like "middle classish." So, there's really no chance for me, besides, I heard that he likes another girl. Oh well, I know I don't have a chance with him but it's fun to have a crush! It's fun to gush details about him at sleepovers. Here's a poem that describes my feelings:

Last Days of Spring Break (Including Exclusive on Harris Visit!)

So. Let me begin with the harris's.
They arrived on Friday night and that night was pretty much dinner than bed. Saturday we went ice skating and played volleyball. That was tons of fun. We gave them a tour of my new house/ where we live. We then had dinner and watched UP because they hadn't seen it. Sunday we went to church, ate lunch, and then they left. We had A ton of fun with them because our family and their family really fit. The oldest, Kelsey, is going to college in the fall, Abby is in my grade and loves to dance!!!, and Megan is my sisters age and is a fashion queen!

On Sunday, after they left, WE GOT A TRAMPOLINE!!!!!!!!! I'm loving it so far! My next door neighbors (ages 4, 2, 2) LOVE IT! The two year olds can't stay standing and they're constantly loling!!! It's a comedy show! It's in our backyard and i'm so glad we got it!

On Monday, I went to the doctors b/c i've had a cold since thanksgiving. turns out, i was wheezing and I have an infection in my sinuses which is affecting my hearing! I know have to take antibiotics and use an inhaler! It should be an interesting experience but hopefully I'll get better!

Today, Tuesday, we went to Emmitsburg to see the shrine of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton and the grotto of Lourdes. It was very spiritual and I learned a lot. We then went to Friendly's for lunch which was DELICIOUS! (I highly recommend their honey BBQ chicken tenders.) We then came home and jumped on the trampoline with our neighbors.

tonight, my cousin called and she told me that she read the two books that I read: Distant Waves and Firefly Lane. She loved them both!!! She said that she liked Distant Waves better, but she could relate to Firefly Lane more and it made her cry! The post about mothers was about Firefly Lane and I still highly recommend it.

Thursday!

Thursday was quite an adventure!
First, my dad, my brother, my sister, and I went to Washington DC to see the Newseum. Some of you may have heard of it. It's a museum all about the news! Anyway, it was really cool and I enjoyed it A LOT!

We then went to lunch and drove home.

When we got home it was all about cleaning because the "harris girls" as I like to call them are coming TONIGHT! I'm sooooo excited and my room looks like a hotel room, it's so clean.

Oh, yesterday, Thursday, I also worked on this roller coaster tycoon park and it's HUGE!

Monday-Wednesday!!!

Hola chicos! Today is Wednesday and I'm glad to be home!
here's an update of what i've done for the past 3 days!
Monday-
Driving Day! Chilled till lunch, drove to NJ to see grandparents.

Tuesday-
NYC day! Rode train into city. Visited many stores: Toys R us, Tiffany's, M & M World, The Hershey Store, Apple, FAO Schwartz (With the big piano!), Times Square, American Girl Place, Central Park, Ruby Tuesday (for dinner, coincidentally!) Rode train back to NJ.

Wednesday-
Hung out with Grandparents. Slept in till 11! Drove home. Chilled,

First Weekend of Spring Break!!!

Buenos dias, world!

My first weekend of spring break has been very nice! So far, my movie count is 4. (Alice and Wonderland, The Untouchables, All the President's Men, and West Side Story) On Saturday, I went to my 11 year old cousin's birthday! For Andi, just letting u know that Courtney and I made ANOTHER music video! Anyway, on Sunday, I went to my BFF, Heather's house! We then went out 2 lunch at California Pizza Kitchen (Delicious!) After this, we went to see Alice and Wonderland in 3D! I highly recommend it! Excellent movie! We then went back 2 Heather's house and made some bracelets! After this, we had dinner at Don Pablo's. I then came home and watched The Untouchables w/ my dad! Great day, huh? Today, I slept till 11:11!!! I was ti-red! I will be leaving for NJ 2 see my Grandparents in 2 hrs! So, I thought I get in this post b4 I had 2 leave!
I hope that ya'll are having a fab day and I will post another post ASAP!

I highly recommend it because I connected to it personally and emotionally
This book made me cry for 20 minutes +
It also made me grateful for my mother and for all of the things we take for granted in life

Tonight

Hola, World! Tonight have only 1 thing 4 hw!!!!! I'm so happy b/c i have dance 2nite and campus parents (where a bunch of high schoolers come ovr to my house 4 an hour)
anyway, tonight's bring a BFF 2 dance nite and i'm bringing my bffs who are twins! andi and christy!!!! It should be VERY FUN!!! also, 2mrws the last day b4 my spring break!!! woo-hoo!!!! Yes, i kno, my spring break's REALLY early, but id care!!! it's coming up!!!!!!

I also have a little sister, but this is about little brothers
Today, I asked my 6 year old brother to give me a hug
He did it willingly
He then told me about how he played with boys at the playground
He then left me to do my homework and as he walked out the door, he blew me a kiss



My brother is partially autistic.



What I wanna know is how people can be mean, prejudiced, rude, judgmental, evil, or stereotypical to autistic and disabled kids.

How can they do this to a little 6 year old boy who likes hugs, kisses, trains, toys, and is one of the most friendly people I know?

I just thought I'd share that with you.

Becuase I KNOW we've all , including me, been judgmental to somebody, and I think it needs to stop.

Babysitting....

So, tonight I babysat my siblings (ages 12, 9, and 6) It was a very eventful evening.
First, a funny story.
My parents left at around 5:30. I decided to make dinner (pizza). It was the frozen kind that you assemble yourself. (Note: all of the ingredients were on the counter except for the sauce, it was in the sink, thawing in hot water) anyway, I put on the cheese and the pepperoni. I didn't notice it at the time b/c i was in my own thoughts but i forgot the sauce!!! So, being in my own world, i put the pizza in the oven and set it to cook for 8 minutes. Around the 7th minute, i look in the sink and see the sauce!!!!(oops...) I then take out the pizza and call my siblings. I told them the predicament and they looked at me like i was insane! Not wanting to waste the food, i told them that our appetizer was going to be mozzarella triangles! they actually weren't half bad! I then made another pizza with the sauce and we ate it just fine.

the cute thing about babysitting tonight was that my youngest sibling fell asleep on me!!! =)

so, my saturday night was spent on the couch, babysitting, watching the Olympics.

OMG I WANT SCHOOL!!!!!!

Savor the moment, readers, for this will most likely be the last time a post will be called that. The reason I want school so much is BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN OFF FOR 11 DAYS!!!! One more day and we will have been off for as long as we're off for spring break!!!! Sure, I love the sleeping in, no hw, chillin attitude of no school BUT I want to see people again!!!! (besides my family and neighbors.) yes it has been fun, but i want to talk to people my age with my interests!!!! i did go to a friends house 4 a sleepover on friday night but it wasn't enough! also, i really want 2 see brian! <3<3<3 guess what's happening right now IT'S SNOWING! i seriously want it to stop. i was watching a music video i made with my cousin today and there was grass on the ground! i haven't seen grass in 4EVER!!!!! ah i feel much better. thank you, reader for letting me vent out my emotions to you.

anyway, this weekend i did do something fun, tho. my cousin slept over last night and she was awesome b/c she helped me rearrange my room! (which was hard b/c i have a double bed which means that we had to take off the mattress, move the bed, put the mattress back on) anyway, i love it! it makes my room work better than the other arrangement. anyway, supposed to be doing hw rite now, so i prob should do that

SNOW I'M SO EXCITED!!!

OMG!!!! I <3 SNOW!!!!!!!! WE HAVE MORE THAN 2 FEET OF SNOW ON THE GROUND RIGHT NOW AND THAT'S BREAKING A CITY RECORD!!!!!! I'M SOOO EXCITED AND ENJOYING IT!!!!!!!

We have had a 5 day weekend so far (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!!!!) It has been such an amazing spontaneous break!!!! rite now, my BFF is ovr my house and we're working on this linguine/ marshmallow combo tower. on friday- saturday, some neighborhood friends came ovr 4 a sleepover and we watched "The Proposal" (good movie- I recommend it) then, we hung out in the snow. also, i just finished this book called Distant Waves by Suzanne Weyn. I highly recommend that, too! so, it's been a good weekend 4 me.

I'm thinking country style 2day.....
So, today was CRAPPY!!!!! First of all, i had a religion test which was super hard.. and then in ss we were staring at the computer all class which gave me a head ache + hunger + cold + tired= my day...=( I'm feeling a bit better now, but not totally. Thank God I don't have a lot of hw 2nite or else I would be dead x0

brian wasn't here 2day so there's no update on him....
btw, erin, if u wanna hear about brian either call me or I'll tell u nxt time i see u.

Anyway, I'm watching American Idol 2nite so that should be fun...

sorry this post's so boring, i feel like as i'm typing i'm running out of words to say. like all the words just ZIP right out of my mouth.

Hello world (2)!

This is halarious! the last time i posted on my blog was a week ago! (sorry about that btw...)anyway, things are pretty much still the same, I have dance 2nite, it will b in the AWESOME senior center, and i'm still hoping 4 snow 2mrw! funny how the weather forecast was the same 2 weeks in a row! anyway, things have been interesting w/ brian. i worked w/ him on a religion project where we actually had 2 talk 2 each other and he pulled out a desk for me!=) (since there were no chairs to pull out since our chairs and desks r connected!) anyway, he seemed pleasantly surprised that i was his partner since our teacher picks it randomly. wat i'm really not looking 4ward to is preforming 2morow! as you know, i do cheerleading and we have 2 preform in front of the ENTIRE MIDDLE SCHOOL in a morning meeting 2MRW!!!! i'm afraid that evry1 is gonna lol at us b/c cheerlding isn't exactly the most popular sport in our school......

Hello world!

Tonight was a very active night 4 me!
First I had a cheerleading game, then i came home, did a little bit of hw, and went 2 border dinner. I then went 2 dance in the awesome, newly built senior center! the dance room was TWICE the size of our other room which was much nicer! there were also water fountains!!! anyway, i then came home and finished my hw. I absolutly LOVE my jazz dance for dance. It's to "Super Massive Black Hole" by Muse and to Twilight fans out there, it's the song from the baseball scene. Anyway, i love the choreography, song, teacher, and class!!! It's one of those dances that every time I do it, I'm thinking about improving and it's a challenging dance! It's also an attitude dance. 2mrw, I'm hoping for it 2 snow, but i'm not so sure......

My Day...

Ok, so i was discussing w/ a BFF while we were cheering during a bball game (which btw, our team lost =(, but r cheering went ok!=]) Anyway, we were discussing our days, and i guess mine was ok! I mean, i had an orthodontist appnt. in the am =(((, but other that that, it was good! Brian was back in school although he was still sick so not much flirting was going on... but my english teacher made almost the entire class LOL! (except 4 one girl...) but i swear.. if he wasn't an english teacher, he should be a comedian! Anyway, cheerleading was fun! we were actually cheering 4 people in our grade instead of sevvies (andi inside joke!!!!!) anyway, the only problemo w/ being late 4 school was that i missed religion which means that i'll have 2 make it up and he gives A LOT of homework!!! Anyway, i'll c u guys next time i can write!!!

The New Year's Eve Partay was AHMAZING!!!! Everything went fabulously!!! My BFF had 2 get 2 my house early at 5:30 which was great b/c i haven't seen her since August! and then when everyone else got there it just worked! I think everyone had a great time, too!
Well, i gtg... i'm going ice skating w/ my BFFs 2nite and it should be a lot of fun!! A lot of these peeps i haven't seen in 2 weeks b/c of break so it will be nice. also, all the people r doing a play w/ me so we'll bond even more! =)
