HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!!!

Hello world!
Tonight's the big night! We are finishing up a wonderful decade!!! I am so excited b/c 2nite, i'm having my new year's eve partay!!!
we are having around 40 people!!!
22 kids and 18 adults... it should be a lot of fun! the kids always hang out in the basement (this year it will be our newly finished basement) and the adults r on the main level. downstairs we have ping pong, foosball, door basketball, and just plain toys!!
there is one downer, however, no food is allowed in the basement b/c of the light carpet. this is a downer b/c now whenever we want chips or soda, we will have 2 go upstairs...=(
i'm still excited, tho, b/c i get 2 hang out w/ my out of school bffs! my cuz, and other family friends. i've hung out w/ these guys every year at new year's, so it's always a big laugh! some of the people at this partay, i only see during new year's which is a shame...
the part that's making this partay even more fab is that i woke up w/ 3 inches of snow on the ground just out of the blue!!
although it's not a lot of snow, it's still enough to make me smile!!!=)
anyway, 2mrw, on 1/1/10, i will give u an update on how my partay went!!!

Christmas =)

My Christmas was fabulous!!!
I got everything I wanted + some!
Christmas morning was great! it was great to see everyone so excited! During the afternoon/ evening, i went ovr my grndprnts house w/ my cousins! that was fab b/c i got an aero shirt, and a vera bradley bag. Unfortunately, when we got home, there was a message from my other grandmother saying that my uncle had gotten in a car accident. he was fine, but due to that and my grandfather not feeling well, my grandparents can't come down from NJ like they were going 2 2mrw... my uncle and aunt can still come, tho, so that should be fun! 2day was ok, i spent most of the day cleaning as our house REALLY needed 2 b cleaned! my room now looks fabulous!!!
also, i can't WAIT for my family's new year's eve partay on thursday!!! it will be awesome b/c i get 2 see all of my family friends...

Winter Break doesn't feel like winter break...

Ok, so for my school, right now, we're on winter break. It's two weeks long! Don't get me wrong, I'm SUPER excited about that but, rite now, it just feels like the weekend. It is nice 2 be sleeping in 2 around 10 every morning, but i haven't rlly gotten into the groove of the break yet. I know what's gonna happen, tho. It's gonna take me until the 2nd week of winter break to have it feel like winter break and then it's gonna take me a week back into school to get back in the school groove. Oh well, i better stop complaining b/c i'm starting 2 sound bratty and annoying. Srry 2 all my readers 4 ventilating on my blog, but there's no where else i can do it...
btw, 2 my bff, lina, enjoy ur skiing trip w/ brian!

Ahdorable Brother.

Ok, so I was going upstairs to do my homework when my 5 year old brother said to me, "I want to help you with your homework!" I knew this wasn't possible since he can barely read. Even though I tried to get him to change his mind, he was being persistent. So, I took him up to my room and said, "How are you going to help me?" He then said, "with your homework!" So I invited him over and I showed him my planner. I told him all I had for homework and then asked him, "Do you still want to help me?" and he of course said, "No thanks! See ya later!"

I thought I'd share this with you because I thought it was adorable. Readers who have little siblings, you know what I'm talking about. When your little brother/ sister looks up at you and says, "I want to help!" How can you refuse? It's the same with dogs. If your dog sits and looks up at you, begging, how can you say no? Anyway, for a brian update, today we were partners in class (count off style) and it was interesting. We were doing a word search. I don't think I've ever been that close 2 him b4!!! I also got an iTunes gift card from my BFF 2day and i can't wait 2 spend it!! I have a lot of songs I've been meaning to buy!

ahhh, today was a good day.=D

Today was interesting...
I don't think i did so fab on my religion test...
i'm guessing i got around a B...
anyway, science was SUPER frustrating b/c our robot would work (we're doing robotics in science...) and then it wouldn't work so we would have to go back a ton of steps!!!! it was annoying.... the only good thing about it is that my group was mostly loling about the whole deal... i caught brian staring at me a couple of times and he stopped when i looked up. i guess thats a good thing!!=D

This Weekend

Hi world!
This weekend was ok. On Friday night I babysat for my neighbors who have 1 4 yr old and 2 year old twins. It was a ton of fun, but I was tired when I got home. From 9-3 on Saturday, I went Christmas shopping with my mom and little brother. That was fun b/c i got a shelf for my room and a cork board. I then came home and chilled for the rest of the night. I also watched the ending of You've Got Mail with my mom. I love that movie and I'd recommend anyone who hasn't seen it to see it. Today I woke up early for Sunday school and church. I then did homework and watched "It's a Wonderful Life" for extra credit in math. (it's a long story of y we had to do that.. if you wanna know, ask me.) Dinner was great and then i spent some time w/ my family in my basement. I guess u could say that this weekend was VERY family friendly, but i haven't had a weeknd like that in a while...
Anyway,

TODAY!

Today was ok...brian was back in school and i caught him staring at me occasionally in class again.... i flirt-teased him a little in english which was funny!
this is soo random, but i was just doing this ha-larious thing w/ my good friend.

anyway, back 2 my day, i got an A- on my spanish test 2day which was good. and, we got our cheerlding sweatshirts 2day which are AH-DORABLE!!!!!! ahhh, i guess

Ironic, funny moment! =D

Okay, so most (prob all) of my readers know that I like a guy named Brian, rite? Well, today, I was walking w/ my lil sis, when she said that some guy at school named Brian was being mean to her. I said that when little boys r mean 2 lil girls it usually means that they like her. I just thought it was funny since the codename 4 my crush is Brian!!! anyway, today was ok... I found out that I have to write a HUGE English essay and 2mrw we're starting to brainstorm......gggrrrreeeeaaattt.... anyway, there was no "brian update" today b/c brian wasn't in school!!
oh well, i guess i better finish my hw...

Let it snow

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!

TODAY WAS THE FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON (AT LEAST WHERE I LIVE!!!) IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! In the morning, my family and I went to get our Christmas Tree. While we were driving to the xmas tree farm, it started snowing. It was be-yoo-tiful!! The farm in snow looked like a picture out of a magazine! After this, we came home and ate lunch. We then went sledding on this amazing hill at the place where I live! It was a TON of fun! We then came home and I had to babysit! The campus that I live at looks gorgeous in the snow.. I got some great pictures and it just looks like a winter wonderland! You know when the snow is all clumpy and really looks like real snowflakes and not just white dots? Well that how it was today. Tomorrow I'm working at my school's bazaar which should be fun. Me and my BFFs are all working the same shift! Anyway, for a brian update, i caught him looking at me in science. He might have been in a daze, but you nvr know...>3>3>3

My Crazy Thursday!!!! 8-0

So, today I had a absolutely CRAZY night!!! First I had an orthodontist appointment... Then I had to go to my brother's singing competition, then I had dance class, and I just finished my hw... WHEW! Other than that, i had an ok day. I had a Spanish that I prob got around a B on... brian update, today was ok. when i got into math class, there's a fireplace (a small one) and brian was sitting by it saying "i'm waiting 4 santa!" i thought it was funny :).

So, that was my day, I'm so excited 4 the wkend b/c i'm getting my xmas tree on sat and then i'm working at our school bazaar on sun.

Teusday!

Hola!
My day today was ok... I got an A+ on my English test and I got a reasonable grade on my math test... I just feel STUPID b/c i said 9x3=18 instead of 18! Anyway, brian update...
today in math i teased him about his circle and he was all smiles answering me! and, in english i said my thought/answer was "messed up" and he replied in saying that he loved things that don't make sense...=)
most people might think of this as insignificant, but i think it's cool...

THANKSGIVING!

HELLO WORLD!

Sorry i haven't been able to post lately. I was at my grandparent's house from Thanksgiving until today. I actually just got back from the drive... My Thanksgiving was FABULOUS!!! we had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie, corn, etc.(also, my uncle ALWAYS brings these AMAZING rolls!!!!{just a little tidbit of info...}) It was great to see all of my dad's family since they all live up north and we live far away... Tomorrow, my friends who are twins are coming over for a movie marathon sleepover!!! i'm sooooooo excited b/c i always tell them about the movies i see and now they will get to see them!!!!!!! I hope they enjoy the movies as much as i did/do... anyway, as a brian update, not much has happened... i'm hoping that he has the same term class as me b/c that ended b4 break... sorry 4 such a boring update...

Today.

Ok, so today was so-so. I've had a humongous (yes, this is in the dictionary, it means "extraordinarily large")amount of of homework/ tests this week! it's because the term is about to end but it still feels like a lot! That is also the main reason I haven't been able to post much... tonight at border dinner it was really fun because it was Thanksgiving themed so it was fancier. It was also pretty good food!

In cheerleading yesterday we did stunting and I was a base. It was hard, but fun! Today in cheerleading we started a dance and the dance was ok... I think the dance will be better when we add a stunt to it.

So today my relationship with Brian was interesting...
There wasn't anything particularly special except for the fact that I couldn't stop looking at him. Ugh... i just hope he doesn't catch me looking at him... that would be weird... oh well, i've got to get back to my homework so...

dreaded mondays.....

I've finally realized why people dread Mondays so much. It's because you've just finished the weekend and you don't want to go back to school/ work. Well, today that came true for me because my monday was soooooooooooo boring... the only class that had some interest in it was that my English teacher made the entire class laugh for like 5 min. I don't even remember what the joke was about but is was FUNNY! Anyway, my weekend was ok. On Friday, we had the 8th grade dance which was ok. the dj wasn't so great, though. on Saturday morning i had my friend's bat mitzvah which was a ton of fun!!! Sunday was pretty boring though.
***Brian Update***
Well, today wasn't the best day for my love life with Brian. I did flirt with him a little in English when I kept telling him that he was making excuses. Anyway, during the dance on Friday, I couldn't stop staring at him. It was like every time I looked up, I could find his face. It also drives me crazy sometimes how shy I am. I went to pre-first b/c I was so shy. It's hard for me to just talk to people that I don't feel comfortable with which is bad b/c none of my close friends are in any of my classes! This is bad for my crush on Brian b/c it's probably never gonna work out if I can't be natural around him. sigh, i'm probably boring whomsoever is reading this so I'll stop.

CHEERLEADING!!!!!!!

hello world!
yesterday was the first day of CHEERLEADING!!!!! I had a fabulous time and I'm so glad I chose cheerleading over basketball!!!! Anyway, we've learned about 4 cheers and today we did a stunt (a very simple one might I add...) I love the feeling of loving every minute of the practice! It seems like it goes by so fast! I didn't have that feeling in basketball..

So today was an excellent day for my crush on Brian! We worked together on a project in science and b/c i was doing something with my hands (andi and lina know this...) I was very comfortable around him!!!! It was fabulous! It was actually so comfortable that for a second I almost forgot I liked him! Anyway, fab day w/ Brian!!!!!!

Life is good.
Today we were smiling at each other EVEN more!!! I had an ok day, but my liking 4 brian is becoming stronger and stronger...
Today we lost our volleyball game, but we played 3 games and ALMOST won...
I played my best and ALL of my serves got over the net! It was also a challenging but fun game b/c the other team was playing Bump, set, spike so it was better than them just hitting it over the net... (if you don't know vball lingo, just keep reading and ignore that...)
anyway, i guess my day was good.

How's life? That's a question my friends always ask me... They've now got me hooked on saying it... Today the congestion that I've had since last Thursday is FINALLY going away!!! =) Today it felt like I was just moving through life, so fast, but yet so slow...

Brian is this AMAZING guy at my school and my crush for him is just beginning so I haven't exactly told any of my friends yet... I wonder what their reaction will be when they read this.... he's super funny and is in some of my classes... we were smiling at each other 2day and it made me smile!! =)=)

Shakespeare Play of Julius Cesar

Hey world!

On Friday night, I saw Shakespeare's Julius Cesar with the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC). I saw it with some of the borders that also live on campus. The director of drama in the upper school was in the play and he was amazing!!! It was in these cool ruins and you moved around with the play. You may think it's geeky, nerdy, or whatever term you use that I see Shakespeare plays, but I really enjoy them! Sure, sometimes there hard to understand but the thing about Shakespeare plays is when the play first starts, it's hard to understand, but within a few minutes, you know what's going on.
The Shakespeare plays I've seen are Julius Cesar (duh), Romeo and Juliet, Henry the V, and Macbeth.My fave was probably Romeo and Juliet b/c it was in a round.

Anyway, that's all 4 2day!

Sickness

Today, I was sick... I say "was" because it's 4:00 now and I'm feeling much better! =) it all started after the concert I went to on Friday (refer to my last post 4 more info), the concert was AMAZING and I had the best time! =) but anyway, after the concert my throat was killing me (naturally) and it just got worse. yesterday morning i had 2 miss sunday school and church. my total symptoms were sore throat, coughing, fever (flu). today i stayed home from school with my bro b/c he was sick 2. anyway, goodbye my readers and stay health during this season of sickness...

Sorry it's been a while!

Hello everybody!
I'm sorry I haven't written in 10 days, my life has been a little hectic....
Anyway, you know that math test I talked about in my last post? well, i got a 84 on it which is ok... most peeps in my class got below a C, so I guess i did good compared 2 them..
My second dance class was fab (as usual) and my teacher (ms. aleta) has 3 children (6, 2, and 1 mnth) and can still do splits and the usual... what a role model!
School 2day was ok, but i am soooooooooooooooooo tired! (yes, i'm that tired that I need 17 zeros...
anyway... i'm getting tired so goodbye!!!

btw.. please comment if you counted how many zeros i used...=)

FRIDAY!

Today was Friday, as you all know, and my day was ok.
In math, I felt like I failed the test because of this one question! So that wasn't so great....
In the Founder's Day assembly, some people felt lightheaded and one guy actually tried to faint and succeeded... mature, right?
When I got home, I went over my next door neighbor's house and they have one 4 yr old and a two 2 yr old twins! I played w/ them for about an hr.
just now, i watched this week's Glee episode on fox.com, it was pretty good...
my main reason for watching that show is because of the singing...

First Dance Class

Hola!
Today, I had my first dance class! I take tap, jazz, and pointe. It was so much fun! My teacher, Ms. Aleta, is very fun and very nice. I enjoyed it a ton and can't wait for the rest of the year!!!!!

School today felt like it went on FOREVER!!!! I woke up this morning and I thought it was Friday!! It took me all of 2 seconds to realize I was wrong =(. Oh well, 2mrw's Friday... =)

Emmanuel Yeboah

I don't know if you've heard of him, but today, Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah came to our school to talk to us. He his an amazing man from Ghana who was born without a leg.
Here's a wikipedia article about him:
Yeboah was born without a tibia in his right leg. He struggled to overcome the belief in Ghana that a physically disabled had been cursed by a deity. His father deserted his family upon learning of Emmanuel's disability, leaving Emmanuel and his family without a source of income. He refused to beg for money, but instead went to the capitial, Accra, to take a job shining shoes. He applied for a grant in order to get a bicycle, and proceeded to bike across Ghana with one leg. He then went on to changing perceptions about disabled people in Ghana.

How awesome is this guy!!!!!

today at volleyball we played Bryn Mawr in Maryland... we lost. :--(, but it was a fun game!
School was a dragish, but i had a fab time in science!
in diversity (it's a club at my school.), the pizza guy didn't come, so we had to run 2 lunch and only got 10 min 2 eat!
anyway, i really should start my math hw, so....
