Winter Break in a Nut Shell!

So, this break was very fun and was a nice break from school. Especially the no homework part. Amongst other things like visiting with family and friends, bonding with siblings, and hosting numerous parties, I watched many movies. Some I have already mentioned over the past 2 weeks and some I have completely disregarded. So, now I would like to give you a "Movies Critic Opinion" of the movies I have watched! Enjoy =)
BTW, i will also give a star rating out of 5 stars based on my personal opinion

1. Oklahoma! ***.5
The reason I watched this is because GAP, the theater group I do during the summer, is doing this play this year and I wanted to catch up on it. It was pretty good, I know it's going to be a fun play but it's not my favorite show.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl ****

First of all, I am a huge POTC fan and cannot wait for the fourth one to come out! Second of all, the first movie is okay. Personally, I like them in this order 3rd, 1st, 2nd. So the 1st is pretty good. I would highly recommend this series to anyone.

3. Sweet Home Alabama ****

This was a perfect Andi-Lauren movie. If you aren't Andi and don't know what that means, it was a typical-make-you-feel-good-chick-flick-romantic-comedy movie =) It stars Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas, and Patrick Dempsey who are all good actors. Definitely recommend it.

4. Notting Hill *****

This movie is another a/l movie and I LOVE IT!!! this movie is so ah-mazing, well done, funny and just down right awesome. It stars Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant and both of them are excellent. Would recommend this to anyone.

5. Contact ****

This is pretty different from the rest of the movies. This is a scientific-intense-romantic in a way movie. It's about contact with other planets and is very good. Starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey.

6. Little Fockers **.5

I went to see this movie with a good friend of mine, Jamie. I hadn't seen her in a while and we mainly got together to catch up. So, this movie was okay, funny kind of stupid humor and I loled a couple of times... Wouldn't really recommend...

7. Eat, Pray, Love ****

I thought this movie was really well done and good. The beginning was a little slow, but the end was very good and it was interesting to see all of the different places she traveled too. Again, Julia Roberts was amazing. Would recommend.

At this point, I'm going to mention all of the children movies I watched with my siblings and give them a rating, but I'm not going to talk about them in detail.

8. Princess and the Frog ***.5- good songs and plot

9. Toy Story 3 ****- made me cry =)

10. The Muppets Take Manhattan **- okay...

11. Alvin and the Chipmunks **- one of my littlest brother's favorites

12. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring ***

I consider this trilogy to be like a step up from POTC. Very good, intense, thrilling, and amazing plot. A plus to this movie is that Orlando Bloom is a daring elf. =)) Would recommend, but don't watch when you're home alone.

13. Catch Me If You Can ****.5

As you might have noticed, I rated this movie highest out of all the movies I have seen this break. This movie was funny, clever, based on a true story, romantic, starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, and taught me about check forgery. How much better can you get? Would recommend highly.

So, that's my movie list. Now, to finish off this very long blog post, I will discuss New Year's Eve. =)

Happy New Year, everybody! 2010 is over and 2011 has just begun! Last night included the usual first hour of boringness and went on to a night filled with beating "g" in foosball, playing Apples to Apples with the gang, locking the boys in the storage room and them doing the same to us, stealing g's fone, gathering everyone's numbers, having a successful slideshow showing, watching the Baltimore fireworks on TV, and a generally good time. I look forward to this party every year and this year did not dissatisfy. I hope you all had an excellent New Year's Eve and day and I wish the best year to all of you!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of The Year!

Yes, I know, it's been a WHILE! but that's not the point.... the point is IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! and I looovvveeee christmas, winter break in general, and especially NEW YEAR'S EVE! (andi)

Speaking of this lovely season, tomorrow's the Holiday Assembly and I'm psyched! This assembly is full of corny jokes, lovely music, and being squished next to your best pals up in the rickety bleachers. I love how the whole school comes together, though. It makes this season feel even more special.

Also, one more thing (ANDI!) does anyone have any suggestions of what to get Matt D. for a secret santa gift? our advisory is doing that this year and i need ideas. the only thing I can think of is an itunes gift card, but idk so comment with suggestions por favor!

High School Life

My posts on this website have been irregular since I got a facebook. Now that I'm in High School, i believe they will become even more irregular. See, i barely have time to do hw, eat dinner, play volleyball, sleep, go on fb, chill with my family, text people, and now add post on everythingaboutmoi? doesn't that seem like a little much? so i will post whenever I have the chance. To andi, i will send you an email every time i post so no need to worry.

High School life is good....i go to a private hs in maryland. It's great! Lovin it! there were 43 new kids added in to my grade this year and there are still people i haven't met yet...WOW! i'm loving having more freedom and i do NOT miss middle school....

Side Note: right now i'm listening to grease lightning.....good times..... =D

For future notice...if i ever need to talk about....ahem...."guy friends from new year's eve party" specifically....."the cute one" i will refer to them as out of schoolies and more specifically... the one (andi, you know who ;) anyway........life is good and i hope its the same for the rest of you....

The New Year's Eve Partay was AHMAZING!!!! Everything went fabulously!!! My BFF had 2 get 2 my house early at 5:30 which was great b/c i haven't seen her since August! and then when everyone else got there it just worked! I think everyone had a great time, too!
Well, i gtg... i'm going ice skating w/ my BFFs 2nite and it should be a lot of fun!! A lot of these peeps i haven't seen in 2 weeks b/c of break so it will be nice. also, all the people r doing a play w/ me so we'll bond even more! =)
anyway, gtg, so...

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!!!

Hello world!
Tonight's the big night! We are finishing up a wonderful decade!!! I am so excited b/c 2nite, i'm having my new year's eve partay!!!
we are having around 40 people!!!
22 kids and 18 adults... it should be a lot of fun! the kids always hang out in the basement (this year it will be our newly finished basement) and the adults r on the main level. downstairs we have ping pong, foosball, door basketball, and just plain toys!!
there is one downer, however, no food is allowed in the basement b/c of the light carpet. this is a downer b/c now whenever we want chips or soda, we will have 2 go upstairs...=(
i'm still excited, tho, b/c i get 2 hang out w/ my out of school bffs! my cuz, and other family friends. i've hung out w/ these guys every year at new year's, so it's always a big laugh! some of the people at this partay, i only see during new year's which is a shame...
the part that's making this partay even more fab is that i woke up w/ 3 inches of snow on the ground just out of the blue!!
although it's not a lot of snow, it's still enough to make me smile!!!=)
anyway, 2mrw, on 1/1/10, i will give u an update on how my partay went!!!

Christmas =)

My Christmas was fabulous!!!
I got everything I wanted + some!
Christmas morning was great! it was great to see everyone so excited! During the afternoon/ evening, i went ovr my grndprnts house w/ my cousins! that was fab b/c i got an aero shirt, and a vera bradley bag. Unfortunately, when we got home, there was a message from my other grandmother saying that my uncle had gotten in a car accident. he was fine, but due to that and my grandfather not feeling well, my grandparents can't come down from NJ like they were going 2 2mrw... my uncle and aunt can still come, tho, so that should be fun! 2day was ok, i spent most of the day cleaning as our house REALLY needed 2 b cleaned! my room now looks fabulous!!!
also, i can't WAIT for my family's new year's eve partay on thursday!!! it will be awesome b/c i get 2 see all of my family friends...
ahhhhhh
winter break is starting 2 feel like winter break after all=)
