1. So today at lunch i was talking to andi about an amazing musician, Glenn Miller. One of his more famous compositions is called in the mood so I'd like to dedicate this section of the post to him.
here's his bio from wikipedia.com
Alton Glenn Miller (March 1, 1904 – missing December 15, 1944) was an American jazzmusician (trombone), arranger, composer, and bandleader in the swing era. He was one of the best-selling recording artists from 1939 to 1943, leading one of the best known "Big Bands". Miller's signature recordings include In the Mood, American Patrol, Chattanooga Choo Choo,String of Pearls, Tuxedo Junction, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug and Pennsylvania 6-5000.[1] While he was traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during World War II, Miller's plane disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel. His body has never been found.
and here's a video of him preforming in the mood:
2. and also, there's something else to get in the mood for- christmas! christmas is a week away and i'm super excited! it's the first night of winter break and I'm loving this break already. packed with family, friends, shopping, gift giving, food, hugs, kisses, parties, and more food; it's sure to be an amazing break!
to get y'all psyched, here's a holiday classic that has become one of my favorite xmas songs.
there's ANOTHER reason for posting this particular christmas video because today, after school, my older-younger brother, my little sister, and I sang our version of this song for like an hour straight....ahhh... it was soo much funn...
anyway, i guess that's all i have to say so merry christmas to all and to all a good night!
toodles!
